Padmasree Kalamandalam Sivan Namboodiri

Chairman

Kalamandalam Sivan Namboodiri is an Indian classical theatre performer from Kerala. In 1975, he joined Kerala Kalamandalam as an instructor in the Faculty of Koodiyattam.In 1980, University of Calicut invited him to be a part of the School of Drama where he worked as a visiting professor.
Sivan Namboodiri was the first artist from outside the chakyar community to perform Koodiyattam. He is also considered as the first person to learn Koodiyattam in an institutional way; till his entry, Koodiyattam was taught under the gurukula system. Another first attributed to Sivan Namboodiri is that he was the first male to perform Nangyar Koothu which was the domain of nangiars, the ladies from Nambiar community. He is also credited with revolutionizing the Koodiyattam costumes and accompanying music.
He was awarded the Padma Shri, in 2012, for his contributions to the art of Koodiyattam, by the Government of India.


Radhakrishnan Nair N

Radhakrishnan Nair N is a writer and critic from Kerala. Acclaimed for his contributions to the art and culture of Kerala in his different administrative capacities. He was Administrator of Kerala Kalamandalam (Deemed University for Art & Culture). At present he is secretary of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademy.


Farook Abdul Rahiman

Farook Abdul Rahiman is an Indian filmmaker and Writer. He started his professional career in Television films at the age of 18 as Assistant Director on Dooradarshan Malayalam television film “Nangema kutty”(1984) and then assisted the legendary Malayalam Director P.N. Menon in his television film “Ethalukal”. Later produced Malayalam Television Films “Sthree Parvam” and “Kulam”-Clan. His own directorial debut was the television film “Vyathiyanam”-Digression – Story of a young man with unusual thoughts and his life in Malayalam,broadcast by Dooradarshan Thiruvananathapuram. With more than 18 films in his credit, Farook was drawn into independent film making after his debut feature film “Kaliyachan” that bagged Farook many laurels including the Kerala State Award for the best debutant director (2012).


Sainudheen Pathirippala

Sainudheen Pathirippala is a businessman. He is associated with drama, film and stage arts from the very young age.


Rajith Mathew Alappattu

Joint Secretary

Rajith Mathew Alappattu is a technocrat turned to Film Maker. He served as IT consultant and technical adviser in a number of government and semi-government organisations.


Ajayan .T.R.

Executive Committee Member

Ajayan .T.R. is a retired Executive Engineer from Kerala Public Works Department. A great lover and exponent of art and culture, he is associated with many cultural activities of Palakkad. He is the Secretary of Swaralaya, Palakkad which has now become the cultural showcase of Kerala. Currently Director and the Chairman of the Marketing Sub Committee of the Kairali TV.


Bijibal Maniyil

Bijibal Maniyil is a National Award-winning Indian composer and playback singer in the Malayalam film industry. Bijibal entered the film industry as a composer in 2007 with the film Arabikatha. Now a leading music director with a number of hits in his credit Bijibal won the National Film Award for Best Background Score in 2013, for the film Kaliyachan.


Rafeeq Ahamed

Rafeeq Ahamed is a Malayalam poet, lyricist and novelist. He has won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award (2006) for Poetry and is a five-time winner of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyrics. He is regarded as the most successful film-song writer for contemporary Malayalam films.


Shadananan Anikkath

Shadananan Anikkath , also known as Kuttettan is an Indian painter, landscape architect, installation artist and sculptor from Palakkad. After schooling at Chittur, Shadananan went to Sir J.J. School of Arts Mumbai to complete his intermediate in painting. Then he attended Madras School of Fine Arts. Shadananan began his career as a painter, installation artist and sculptor in the late 1960s. In 1964 he took initiative to start the Palakkad Chithrakala Parishath which conducted a number of seminars and classes on painting, later became a centre of excellence. In later stage Shadananan expanded his m├ętier into the world of landscape installations. A number of his famous installation are found in parks and gardens in and around Palakkad.

Shadananan is very active in the socio-cultural activities of Palakkad. He headed or became member in many art related groups in Palakkad. In 2010 he was nominated member of the Kerala Folklore Akademi and the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi. He is a living encyclopedia of folklore arts in Palakkad and surroundings (Ancient Valluvanad) especially the Kanyar Kali and Porattu Nadakam.


Advocate Jayarajan Pulleri

Advocate Jayarajan Pulleri a professional lawyer from Kasaragod. Coming from the family background of music, film and art he is an ardent lover of art. An active part of all cultural activities in Kasaragod and other parts of Kerala. Currently serving as the district government Pleader.


K.V. Vasu

K.V. Vasu also known as Vasu Parvathy is a merchant from Vadakkanchery in Palakkad. His passion and enthusiasm for the art of movie made him known to all generation of people in the film industry.


Jamaludeen

Jamaludeen is a media person. His association with the TV, print and film media for the last 20 years mould him a media expert.
